precedes its objects. They are mind-governed and mind-made. To
speak or act with a defiled mind is to draw pain after oneself,
like a wheel of a cart behind the feet of the ox drawing it.
Mind precedes its objects. They are mind-governed and mind-made. To speak or act with a peaceful mind, is to draw happiness after oneself, like the shadow that follows the ox.
I have been insulted! I have been hurt! I have been beaten! I have been robbed! Anger does not cease in those who harbor these kinds of thoughts.
I have been insulted! I have been hurt! I have been beaten! I have been robbed! Anger ceases in those who do not harbor these kin;ds of thoughts.
Hatred is never ceased by hatred. Hatred is only ceased by love. This is the eternal law.

The ultimate goal is to find your Self. Don't give up; remember that goal always. Whatever you do, you should ask, `Am I approaching my goal of knowing my Self?' Keep that goal in mind while doing whatever you do: Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, cleaning the house, serving people, answering the telephone. It doesn't matter what you are doing; those things are all outside. All those actions should help you to ultimately find yourself. Keep that in mind, and one day you will see the whole world as a heaven, because heaven and hell are of your making.
God bless you. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi.

God is really all-pervading, above the mind, without features, imperishable, and infinite. How can such a one be worshipped? That is why, out of compassion for his creatures, He takes the form of the guru. The guru is the supreme God enclosed in human skin. He walks the earth, concealed, bestowing grace on his disciples.

Your life is quite capable of living itself naturally and easily.
It does not need strained attempts at control.
It is the attempt at control which causes loss of control.
Have you ever noticed your lack of command
at the moment you try to command?
When demanding something from another person,
you lose command of yourself.
...When you are one with yourself, you are also one with life,
which is full control and complete relaxation.

Experience the Gap
There can be a gap of quietness between thoughts,
and if you are very present in that gap,
you stop acting out your familiar identity.
As soon as identity jumps into the gap,
you don't feel present anymore.
Being nobody is usually so baffling to the mind
that it starts filling that gap very quickly.
"How can I be nobody?"
But to fill it up with a somebody is meaningless.
If you really want to know what you are, just experience the gap,
experience the openness, and let it bloom inside.
There is no better way to find out what you are.
