the "isness" of all things,
a deeper dimension reveals itself to you as an
abiding presence, an unchanging deep stillness,
an uncaused joy beyond good and bad. This is
the joy of Being, the peace of God.

The 'Spiritual Mind'
Contains the universe.
In this universe there is
One pure 'substance' ...
One absolute and indivisible Truth.
The notion of 'duality' does not 'exist.'
The 'finite mind' contains only 'illusions' .
separateness - of division.
It imagines 'myriad' objects
and defines Truth ..
in terms of relative opposites.
Big is defined by small, good by evil,
pure by defiled, hidden by revealed,
full by empty.
What is opposition ?
It is the arena of hostility -
of conflict and turmoil.
Where 'duality' is 'transcended' ...
This is the way of 'manifestation's'

When you fall into the water and don't know how to swim,
you become frightened and say, 'I must not drown, I must not
drown,' and begin to thrash about with arms and legs and, in your
anxiety, swallow more water and eventually drown. Whereas if
you would let go of your thoughts and efforts and allow yourself
to go down to the bottom, your body would come back to the
surface on its own. That's spirituality!

Unity is the proper attribute
The hearty unripe grapes, capable of ripening,
at last become one in heart
by the breath of the masters of heart.
They grow rapidly to grapehood,
shedding duality and hatred and strife.
Then in maturity, they rend their skins,
till they become one:
unity is the proper attribute
for one who is one with others.
- Rumi, Mathnawi II, version by Camille and Kabir Helminski, Rumi: Daylight, posted to Sunlight
You have always been,
and ever will be one
with all that is ...
We are separated only
until we realize that we are
Rollers lapse into the sea,
and smoke is carried on the wind
toward the white clouds.
In time's field
seeds shoot and bloom;
fade and die, reseed ...
Mind is not dream,
not tranquil island,
nor blossom drifting.
It is the fluid surface of the stream,
the shifting plane where water,
shaped by wind, reflects the sky.
All is full of all ...
Ripples on one pool,
each entity enfolds
'reflections' of One Sun ...
