This is a gathering of Lovers.

In this gathering
there is no high, no low,
no smart, no ignorant,
no special assembly,
no grand discourse,
no proper schooling required.

There is no master, no disciple.

This gathering is more like
a drunken party,
full of tricksters, fools,
mad men and mad women.

This is a gathering
of Lovers.

"Worry not from a clear heart,
Like the polished glass of innocence.
The innocent mirror contains all, unashamed.
For this clarity, see yourself shamelessly.
This is truth.
As a glass shines bright with polish,
So the heart's mirror will shine,
the deeper you look.
Between the glass and the heart
there are only secrets."

For Susan - Artist of Being, Alive

I know you think about how great it would be to have a
fully functioning body and the gardening and art you
could do.......it must be a frustration at times.

I saw this though, and immediately thought of you. I
want to share it:

"And yet, I know artists whose medium is Life itself
and who express the inexpressible without brush,
pencil, chisel or guitar. They neither paint or dance.
Their medium is Being. Whatever their hand touched has
increased Life. They See and don't have to draw. They
are the artists of being alive."

...thought I would end with a quote from a very different
source that really grabbed me the first time I read it, and has always
stood out in my mind afterwards. This quote is from Kurt Vonnegut's
"The Sirens of Titan". It is a short conversation between Salo and
Constant near the end of the book.

You finally fell in love, I see," said Salo.

"Only an Earthling year ago," said Constant. "It took us that long to
realize that a purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it,
is to love whoever is around to be loved."

  Dearest Friends,

Like stepping stones glowing brightly, shining wisdom-white in the clear moonlight illuminating them from within, I move slowly, in awe, and awarely over these god-stone silences vibrating as spiritual stepping-sounds abounding within Bob's beautiful photographic and literary artwork.  Here are some sterling-whirling word-and-image pixel-dancers that have enhanced and enlivened my happy moments of reflecting upon each one I've viewed ... and ultimately been imbued with ~ From Beautiful Bob:

Some Kiss We Want

There is some kiss we want with
our whole lives, the touch of

spirit on the body. Seawater
begs the pearl to break its shell.

And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come and press its

face against mine. Breathe into
me. Close the language- door and

open the love window. The moon
won't use the door, only the window.   ~ Rumi

"When you find yourself with the Beloved, embracing for
one breath,
In that moment you will find your true destiny."

~ Rumi

"With the Beloved's water of life, no illness remains
In the Beloved's rose garden of union, no thorn remains.
They say there is a window from one heart to another
How can there be a window where no wall remains?"
~ Rumi

"When the sweet glance of my true love caught my eyes,
Like alchemy, it transformed my copper-like soul.
I searched for Him with a thousand hands,
He stretched out His arms and clutched my feet."
~ Rumi

"The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere,
they're in each other all along."

~ Rumi

Thank you my Love, for all the wonderful words and images that you share with all of us each day. You so move me, my Love.

Gratitude for You, for Beautiful You, Bob,
