Nonduality Highlights: Issue #4290, Saturday, June 25, 2011

The joy of being is in the clarity of our own awareness, right here and right now.

- Kaushik

Unchanging Awareness

Learn to watch both your experience and your reactions to your experience. This process of observant attention and witnessing will enable you to see that your fundamental and essential sense of identity exists as an unchanging point of Awareness within the heart of all changing conditions and circumstance.

This Awareness is grounded in the present moment and never exists outside of Now. It is always accessible and never exists somewhere other than Here. It is the immediate and undeniable Center of who you imagine yourself to be.

Reside in this Center, and realize that the essence of this Awareness is not separate from That which manifests before, around and within you.

- Metta Zetty

When mind is quiet, all is Self.
When mind moves the world arises,
so be still, throw away everything, and be free.
Then, when mind is pure, you will see Self
in all beings.
Give up seeing with the outer eye
and the Divine eye will open.

To the extent that an individual wishes to experience the world as separate from himself, he is a spectacle without a spec- tator. To the extent that he prefers to be Insensitive to the world, he is a spectator without a spectacle. But it is only when life is accepted totally, however it comes, knowing it to be nothing but a dream yet acting intuitively as if it is real, that one will experience life fully as the natural spectator of the natural spectacle.

My Master, Ramana Maharishi, said to me,
"God is not an object to be seen, He is the subject.
He cannot be seen, He is the Seer, find this Seer."
My Heart was opened.
"Find the Seer." This is the Teaching.

Think neither of being accepted nor of being turned away,
but always consider the Divine command and prohibition.
Then suddenly the bird of Divine attraction
will fly toward you from its nest:
as soon as you see the dawn, put out the candle.
When the eyes have become piercing,
it's the dawn's light that illuminates them:
in the shell the illumined eye beholds the kernel.
In each speck it beholds the everlasting Sun;
in the drop it beholds the entire Sea.
